About World heritage

World heritage sites are natural sites and/or cultural properties that have been inscribed on the “World Heritage List” by the World Heritage Committee, to be preserved as common heritage of all the human beings not only for some regions or countries, based on the “World Heritage Convention” (convention concerning the protection of the world cultural and natural heritage) adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO.

Categories of world heritage

World heritage are classified into three categories; cultural heritage, natural heritage, and mixed heritage.
