Old-Kanrasha Obata-gumi warehouse
This two-story brick building, that once stored raw silk, was built in 1926 by the“Kanra-sha Obata-gumi,” which was formed by local silk-raising farmers in Obata and Ueno district. The Kanra-sha Obata-gumi was one of the organizations that created an innovative style of silk reeling derived from the traditional reeling method called "Zaguri." Located at the end of the row of farmers' houses, it is now used as a history and folklore museum.
