This is the office of the Kiryu Textile Weavers Association , established in 1934 to improve Kiryu textiles. In the past, female workers supported its operation, serving as telephone operators and typists. The building features a western-style exterior with its outer wall of scratch tiling, Japanese-made western-style tile-roofing of bluish green and stained glass windows on the second floor. It is currently opened to the public as “Kiryu Orimono Kinenkan” (Kiryu Textile Memorial Hall), exhibiting textile materials and selling silk products.
